A Course in Miracles Experiment (by Pam Grout) Day 155

You are a miracle.

You are truly unique, one-of-a-kind, rare beyond imagining.

Your purpose is to be grateful for all the gifts you’ve been given, to celebrate your miraculous manifestation, and to always do more than is expected of you.

These are the true “facts of life”, the only facts that matter.

All the attention you possess should focus on these three things, letting all the rest fall to the wayside in your journey.

Anything else is a distraction, a detour meant to send you down the wrong road.

Anything else is a waste of your time.

By practicing gratitude, acknowledging your uniqueness, and contributing more than you must, you fulfill all the requirements needed to receive more love, more blessings, more of all the good things life offers.

Don’t get distracted by the evening “news”.  Don’t dwell on all the wrong in the world.  Focus on the good, on the positive.  Keep your eyes on the prize!

And if you need any help, I strongly recommend “The Greatest Miracle in the World” by Og Mandino!  It’s beyond inspirational, and a wonderful way to start your day with a gentle reminder of the truly important things.

Have a remarkable day today!

Here are some reminders of how the world really works:

1) The world is accommodating, and abundant, without limits.

2) Everything always works out for my good.

3) If I follow my heart, I can live a life of limitless joy, purpose and meaning.

4) The more love I give away, the more love I receive.

5) Whatever I give most, I receive back the most.

In today’s society, taking a leap of faith is pretty tough.  But if you think about it, it’s always been a hard choice.  That’s where the faith comes in.

If you can willingly give control over to the Divine (remembering that you don’t have real control anyway!) the Universe will watch your back and reward you for your trust.

Have you ever been around someone who always “looks on the bright side”?  Ever noticed how often they have good things happen to them out of nowhere?  With that positive outlook, that person is much more likely to attract positive results compared to the person who is perpetually expecting the worst.

Which side will you choose today?  Will you be the light on the path, or the grit in someone’s eye?

Have an incredible day today!

You and I are in charge of changing the world today.

No, honestly.  Not only are we in charge, we’re capable of doing it really, really well!

If you’re thinking right now about how hard a time you have getting out of bed, remember that’s your doggone ego talking.  Remember the jerk who’s always saying “You can’t do that!” or “OMG, you wouldn’t be good at that!”. That’s him.  His agenda has nothing to do with your true mission.

Shut him up!

Gag the little bugger, and lock him in the basement, kicking and screaming!

He has NOONES good in mind.

Forget him!

Let’s move on and change ourselves for the better.  Start with something small.  Let the ripples spread out like echoes through the atmosphere, moving things as they go.

Write in your journal.

Remind yourself of all you can be grateful for.

Take your beautiful photos.

Create your art.

Add to the beauty and diversity of our world.

Together, we change it for the better.

Have a marvelous day today!

A Course in Miracles Experiment (by Pam Grout) Day 152

I have to rule my own mind before anything else will fall into place.

We’re conditioned from an early age to view the world as a “you or me” proposition, but that’s a flawed vision.  The separation that we see is the illusion.

The deepest truth is that we don’t need to fight our way through life, we don’t have to beat the bad guy, we don’t have to judge events or people using our own flawed perceptions.

By aligning ourselves with the Divine, we eliminate the possibility of “you or me” and accept the truth of “us“.

When I can get my head around that, then I can finally start to see that I simply need to accept that Universe where we truly are all family, and that my job is to love my brother and sister just as much as I love myself.

Put that cracked mirror away.  Clean your glasses.  And prepare yourself for revelation.  Because once you get past that perception of division, the one-ness will begin to show itself to you in some startling new ways!

Join me today in envisioning our planet from a base of inclusivity, togetherness, courtesy, caring and love.  Join the dance, everyone, together.  Now thats the world I want to leave my grandchildren!

Have a fantastic day today!

I create my own reality.

The problems only arise when I lose focus, when I allow distracting thoughts to intervene.  Once I’ve gotten the vision clear in my head, I have to continue on with it, allowing nothing contradictory to get in the way.

If I could just get out of my own way!

We’re constantly deluged with opposing opinions and “facts”, most of which seem to have little bearing on actual life or reality.  All this junk creates a gigantic scrapyard where it’s nearly impossible to find a way out.

The logjam in my head eventually untangles itself when I stop concentrating on fixing it.

If I can just maintain that focus on my vision then everything else falls into place.

What does your vision show you?

Have a marvelous day today!

Judgement is something we all indulge in, and is something none of us are qualified to practice.

Children (and kittens and puppies) are fun to be around because they haven’t gotten into the habit of constantly evaluating every person or experience yet.  They simply “go with the flow”, accepting each new thing for its own merits.

As we grow up though, we begin to believe that we can compare what we think is happening to some fictional construct that “should” happen, and when the two don’t coincide, we act as jury and judge.

Unfortunately, we know too that most of the evidence is not visible, or just isn’t brought into the courtroom, because it gets overlooked in the haste to hurry up and sentence the prisoner!

Of all the millions of bits of raw data that our brains receive from our surroundings every moment, less than a hundred at a time are even acknowledged.  How can we evaluate evidence that our brains don’t even show us?

We can’t.  Simple enough.  We can’t.

Lay down your judge’s robes.  Get up out of that chair.  Step out into a brand new world that’s ready and willing to take care of you and your every need.  No judgement required.

Respond to every event with love and gratitude.  Love and gratitude will come back to you multiplied.

Have a truly great day today!

A Course in Miracles Experiment (by Pam Grout) Day 149

You are a miracle.

Think for a few minutes about all the systems your body includes – your respiratory system, your circulatory system, your digestive system, to name just a few.

We still have just a few ideas, a limited understanding of how they work together to keep us living, breathing, moving.  Our scientists and doctors would like us to believe that they understand these things completely, but the evidence is against them.  Every year, another amazing revelation shows how interconnected these systems really are.

How to explain extraordinary feats like the shamans who can control their breathing to the point where they appear to be dead?  Humans who can literally walk across hot coals and yet aren’t burned?

We don’t even really understand the physical creation we inhabit, let alone the “invisible” self that animates that shell.

What we do know is that without love or affection, even plants don’t thrive and grow as they should.  Without love, we truly are without power.

Love is the energy source that we really depend on and need.  Love expands.  Love doesn’t die.  The tiniest act of love is never wasted or lost.

Focus yourself today on being that most loving vision of yourself.  Remember “Pigpen” from the old Charlie Brown comics?  Remember the cloud of dust and dirt that always floated along with him?  Surround yourself with a fog of love, and let it float along with you today.  No-one will mind sharing!

Do you still find yourself thinking  crap, no matter how much you practice your affirmations and your thanksgiving?

I know I find toxic thoughts surfacing daily in my head, thoughts like “I need to make more money” or “I’ve got to work harder at my house cleaning” or “I should be doing …” .

The real truth is that you and I have a true purpose, and it has nothing in common with those thoughts that roll around in our heads like crazed hamsters.

Our true purpose is to find joy, and to experience it, and to share it.

The so-called reality that we experience every day has very little joy, very little happiness, very little wonder.  These however, are the building blocks we need to use to create our honest, joyful place on this planet.

Where do you find joy, wonder, happiness that overflows?

I find a lot of gratitude in my garden, whether it’s the flowerbeds, the vegetable patch, the pots of mixed flowers and veggies on the porch, or in the blackberry bushes that line our driveway.  There’s always something amazing, new, or beautiful going on out there.

Another great source of happiness is my bird feeder on the porch.  Watching the antics of the family of Downy woodpeckers as the young ones figure out how to climb straight up or down the strings that hold the suet blocks is always good for a laugh!

Find your wellspring of wonder and unleash your gratitude!  Help those beautiful thoughts on their way into the atmosphere and remember that truly “We are ALL in this together!  We can heal those hurts, together.

Have a marvelous day today!

Perception is flawed by its very nature.

What the heck does that mean?

It means that our internal filters build up with gunk as we get older, exactly like the air filter on your A\C unit.  Have you changed that thing lately?

We just switched ours out for a clean one, and let me tell you the old one was filled with dust, grime, assorted bugs, and a couple of spots were completely unidentifiable.

Our brains build up layers of attitude, of self-protectiveness, of ego-driven  ideas about the human beings we come into contact with.  But it’s just gunk on the filter!

The only thing that gets us out of that stale, smelly dungeon in our heads is a change of filters.  You can’t just change a piece of it, though.  Doing that gives you only a momentary respite.  You have to pull out the whole thing and install a new one, in order to make any lasting change.

The new filter has to be made up of new layers – love, forgiveness, caring, sharing, gratitude.  These filter elements will clear the way for a true shift in your consciousness, and will change your perspective completely.

Like the astronauts who’ve had an epiphany in space – you’ll suddenly see a connectivity that wasn’t visible before.  When you put love first, everything else falls into its proper place.

A Course in Miracles Experiment (by Pam Grout) Day 146

Only love is real.

Love is the enduring power of this divine universe that we share.

Anything that purports to show division is an illusion.

The world that we experience is like a mushroom:  the cap is what we see.  In reality, the fungi itself is much, much larger, incredibly complex, and completely interwoven into its environment.

The cap is the fruiting body of the fungi, not the whole ‘animal’.  The vast majority of the “body” is made up of a complex mat of thread-like mycelium.  These mycelium are generally only a cell or two thick, and have been measured at up to 8 miles worth in a single cubic inch of soil (according to Mycelium Running)!

All those tiny threads provide a lot more cell surface to absorb water and nutrients even when they’re hard to find.  They’re the back-up plan for drought or scarcity of any kind.

The Divine Plan is exactly like fungi.  Although we may only see or experience or pay attention to the cap ( because, after all, that’s the edible part), there’s SO much more going on that we never really take a look at!  Whether we look or not, though, it’s definitely still there, (like those mycelia) still surrounding us, still trying to provide and protect us.

We try to separate the cap from the creature, but reality shows they aren’t separate entities.

We are inextricably linked to everyone and everything “else” on this planet of ours.

The more we each rejoice in gratitude, the stronger those underlying connections become.

Love binds us all into one, though some may perceive us as separate.

Extend your reach.  Offer love and gratitude, and build your connection with tmhose around you, and with the Divine.

Have a wonderful day today!
