A Course in Miracles Experiment (by Pam Grout) Day 132

“Anything will give up its secrets if you love it enough.” – George Washington Carver

 Love is the ultimate answer.

With enough love, anything could happen.

With enough love, we could heal all the hurts.

With enough love, we could feed, clothe and house every person on the planet.

With enough love, we can do ANYTHING.

But you can’t legislate love.  You can’t make it a crime not to love.  You can’t force love.  You just have to do it.

Look at that person you can’t stand to be around today.  Allow the light of love to color their presence.  And watercolor that picture of them in your head with an overwash of love.

Change the world. One day at a time.  Change yourself, one loving act at a time.

You have that power. You and I are the superheroes of today.  Together we can erase the negativity that our brains use to paint over our lives.  Together we can turn that picture of a planet gone awry to a beautiful portrait of peace, beauty and love.  Let’s get to work.

Have a day filled with love today!

You’ve heard the saying that “Nothing is what it seems”?

It’s true.  We’re surrounded by events, by people, by nature, but what our brains interpret as reality is NOT exactly what’s happening.

How we see and experience life depends completely on our choice of viewpoints.

We can choose the “modern scientific” theory that says we’re separate and distinct from our surroundings.  But where has this idea gotten us?

What if we choose to recognize that all life is connected, that every life, no matter how small, has its place in the big scheme?  What if we choose to believe that we are not just important, but necessary, for this planet to work the way it ought to?

Spend a few minutes today imagining how this planet will be when every human “knows” that they matter.  When every pet has a caring home.  When our woods and forests, grasslands and deserts are cared for as the precious shared resources they are.  What sort of life will that be?

The Universe care about every bit of creation.  We are responsible for extending the love we receive to each living thing around us.

Grab hold of that love.  It’s truly endless, miraculously overwhelming, and free for the taking.

Once you have a good grip, share it!  Show the people around you how life can be when you are confident in that continuous shower of blessings.  The whole world can be changed, and that change starts with you and I.

Have a miraculous day today!

“No-one can fail who seeks the truth.”

Look hard for the real truth that surrounds you today.

The real truth, according to modern physics, is that EVERYTHING is connected to EVERYTHING else.

The reality that our media foists on us every day is a world filled with landmines and booby-traps.  It’s a world made up of “us” and “them”, and “them” of course, are the “bad guys”.

What if we refuse to buy into that whole “us” and “them” mentality ?

Why don’t we instead focus on the amazing good that happens every day?

Despite all the negatives we’re bombarded with each day, good still happens.

Real charities still work at making a difference in every-day life for real people.  Take a look at the work done by non-profit organizations like Hiefer International, whose work helps raise the standard of living for whole communities in just a few months.

Real people take time to help others in need, and if you need proof, subscribe to the “Good News Network” newsletter, a daily email full of amazing positive happenings.

The truth is that we see a tiny fragment of what’s actually happening, and our trusty brain filters out a whole lot more.

Switch your filter!  Like changing a camera lens to get a new viewpoint, change up how you view your world today.  It’s our privilege as human beings that we can, and we definitely need a change.

Have a fantastic day today!

Give your attention to the things you can change.

You can change the way you see other people, the way you understand events around you, the whole of your experience here.

Why not take the high road?

Discard everything you think about that doesn’t point you towards fulfillment, everything you see that doesn’t highlight brilliance and joy in your life.  Toss that junk in the trash can, tie the bag shut, and set it on the curb.

Don’t bring it back in later to check if maybe you possibly dropped in something valuable!  Just let it go!

I’m constantly having to remind myself “Okay, that’s done.”. Re-hashing it won’t change it.  I try to learn from it and move on.

The choices we face every day start with waking.  Do you start the day at a dead run, always feeling like you’ll never quite catch up?  That makes it harder to find calm, to set your intentions, to remember that you’re part of the solution but not all of it.

Make your choice before your feet hit the floor, and stick with it!

Today is going to be extraordinary!

We can change the whole world.  Today.

Let’s look at the brightest, most beautiful happenings, and celebrate!  Start the momentum toward a more loving, more thoughtful planet.  Tomorrow will take care of itself.  Today is what we have.

“Beyond this world is a world I want”

I want to live in the world where families in need are connected to families who can help them. (Yes, this is happening!)

I want to live in a world where everyone gets to have their say, and everyone listens. (This, too!)

I want to live in a world where everyone feels important, treasured, special (because everyone IS unique and of value).

Can we all agree to switch over to that world?

What if we all decide that we’re going to make that change today?

What happens when I open my mind up to the infinite variety of the Universe?  Any thing, any possibility can turn into reality!

Turn off the part of your mind that’s been conditioned to think that you can’t have everything you need to be the person you want to be.

Turn off the voice in your head that tells you anything negative, that says you’re not deserving of “every good thing”.

Because you ARE deserving, you ARE here for a reason, you DO have amazing feats to accomplish!

Shut down that snarky voice, and let’s get to work, together.

Let’s go make a difference.

Be overwhelmingly, electrically, volcanically blessed today!

“The world I see holds nothing I want.”

All that I need, all that I am, is not what I see.  Looking around, or in the mirror, all my perceptions are colored over by my ingrained beliefs, by my basic outlook on life.

The only way to get to the truth of who I really am is to discard the useless garments that disguise that true self.

If I can once see through the fabric of my own expectations, I start to get an idea of the human the Divine intends me to be.  That human is gloriously beautiful, wonderfully compassionate and caring, incredibly inventive.

Why bother with the ego if it doesn’t work toward improvement?

Let go of your ego and all those misleading ideas.  Let go of your material wants, your demands that life as you experience it should live up to your egos’ unrealistic expectations.

Put off the shackles that hold you in place.  Hang out that laundry, and let the breeze make it fresh.

I remind myself daily that my vision is “through a glass, darkly”, and I have a responsibility to look farther, to try to understand more clearly, and to keep love and compassion uppermost in my heart.

You are unique, gorgeous, amazing!

Celebrate a new day, knowing that this day can bring you closer to  revelation!

Have an astoundingly wonderful day today!

“Love is a law that has no opposite.”

I’m reminded of how love affects our pets’lives (not sure how this triggered these memories, but…)

When my husband and I first married, we both had birds, mostly parrots as pets.  He had cockatiels and I had conures.  He had already built up a three generations of birds that were examples of beautiful colors and wonderful temperaments.

He taught me how to handfeed babies, and over a few years we raised hundreds of baby ‘tiels.  They were always so darn ugly when they first hatched, always squalling for food even when they were so full the extra was dribbling out of thier tiny beaks.  Feeding time always included plenty of warm, damp washcloths and ick on my clothes.

At one point, we ran out of time to handfeed all of them, and left the babies in the nests if the parents were doing a good job.  By then, we were five or six more generations into our breeding program, and all our parent birds were babies that I’d raised.

I’d scoot out to the barn to check on everyone in the morning before work.  Each walk-in aviary had a pair of birds with nests, or a group of juveniles learning how to fly and be strong, happy, friendly birds.

In the cages, I’d walk in and immediately get mobbed by babies or parents alike, fussing over my hair, playing with my earrings, or just landing on my head.

Even the parents with new chicks in the nests would walk along my arm as I opened boxes, fondly watching as I reached in and gently touched each baby, making sure that everyone was getting fed and was alert and bouncy.

I loved those birds, and they knew it.  The parent birds had never known anything but a loving gentle, caring human, so they never got protective or aggressive.

With only love as background, nothing else matters.

What if we put love in the forefront, and keep it there?

What can stand against love?

Rewind your day so far, and start with love.

Have a marvelous day today!

Where do I place my trust?

How can I possibly trust you, when you’ve obviously let me down so many times?

The truth is, I have to trust that despite appearances, you are also doing your best to trust, to do the right thing, to be honest and courageous.

My perceptions of how that affects me are my real problem.

Without an attitude of trust, I’ll never be able to see what you’re trying to offer, what you’re really attempting to get across.

I have to back off from my assumption that you’re not going to help.  I have to let go of all my assumptions about you, and everyone else.  I have to change and release all the accumulated junk that’s cluttering up my head, and move on into a basic trust that the Universe will make it work.

Clean out the junk drawer in your head!  I’ll clean mine out too.  It could be that something you toss is the one thing standing in the way of a deeper understanding, a more complete acceptance, an encompassing brilliant flash of insight.

We can change the world.  We each have to first trust that it can be done.

Let’s make it a better, more loving, more trusting, more caring world.  One person at a time.

Have a marvelous day today!

A Course in Miracles Experiment (by Pam Grout) Day 125

Get yourself ready to receive.

Instead of the constant battles we’re told we have to fight, we need to learn to walk away, and get prepared for the better method.

If we can just shut out that continuous barrage of crap that makes up our egos’ running commentary, we can clear the way for our intended blessings to find us.

Instead of putting up our dukes and maintaining that energy-intensive attitude, set it down and give it a rest.

The Universe wants to bless you, provide for you, nourish you.  But, you have to allow it to happen.  You (and I) have to back off and lighten up.

We have to have a teeny bit of faith, in order to make room in our heads, our hearts, and our lives for those blessings to flow to us.

If we’re busy chattering all the time, we can’t hear the messages we’re meant to hear.

If we’re busy disliking all the time, we don’t leave room for the love we’re meant to experience.

And if we’re busy spending our lives in pointless pursuits, we don’t have time to see the blessings we have.

Take a few minutes today.

Quiet the voice.  Still your hands, and sit on your troubles.

Look around you.

Enormous amounts of love, peace and joy await.

Have a blessed day today!

Overwhelming joy.

Joy so incredibly big, so amazingly perfect, that it’s impossible to wrap my mind around.

That’s my birthright, and yours.

The knowledge that I can accomplish anything that spreads that joy is the rock-solid foundation of life.

You and I have the capability of changing the entire world.

With joy, and love, and goodness.

Just because we can’t see or hear or touch something, doesn’t take away its reality.

Just because scientists haven’t proven some theory, doesn’t mean it isn’t true.

And just because your “rational mind” can’t believe, doesn’t make it myth.

Open your mind and heart to that highest frequency in the Universe.  Allow the Divine visit joy upon you.  You’ll be changed, and you’ll inspire others to change.

Have an inspired day today!
